On July 9, A-League newcomers Auckland FC officially announced the signing of former Melbourne Victory midfielder Brimmer.
Brimmer, 26, is a product of the Liverpool youth academy. In 2017, Brimmer joined Perth Glory from Liverpool U23, and after three seasons, he moved to Melbourne Victory. In the last season, Brimmer made 29 appearances for Melbourne Victory and contributed four assists.
