On July 26, Wellington Phoenix officially announced the signing of midfielder Paul Retre.
Retre, 31, has previously played for Melbourne City, Sydney FC and Goa. Retre spent six seasons with Sydney FC, winning two A-League regular season titles and two A-League Grand Finals with the club. In July 2023, Retre left the A-League to join Indian Super League side Goa, where he made 23 appearances last season.
