A-League side Macarthur FC has announced that midfielder Christian Popovich has suffered an ACL injury in training, ending his 2024-25 season prematurely.
The 22-year-old Popovich joined Macarthur FC last summer and made 14 appearances across all competitions in the previous season.
Christian Popovich’s father is 51-year-old coach Tony Popovich. Tony Popovich has coached Western Sydney Wanderers, Perth Glory and Melbourne Victory, leading Western Sydney Wanderers to the AFC Champions League title in 2014.
