On August 16, Sydney FC officially announced the signing of former Spezia midfielder Leo Sena.
Leo Sena, 28, has played for Goiás, Atlético Mineiro, Spezia, Lokomotiv Plovdiv and Diadema Saint Water. In October 2020, Leo Sena was loaned to Spezia and subsequently signed by Spezia in July 2021. During his two seasons at Spezia, Leo Sena made 19 appearances and recorded one assist.
