According to Sky Germany, after signing Anton and Gyasi, Dortmund’s budget only allows for one more transfer of a similar scale, meaning they may only be able to sign one of their current targets, Cherki or Kouyaté.
Both Kouyaté and Cherki are open to a move to Dortmund, but the club is yet to agree terms with their respective clubs. During their tour of Asia, Dortmund’s sporting director, Kehl, confirmed that the club will prioritize the full-back position, making Kouyaté the current first choice.
Dortmund have offered €20 million for the 22-year-old, but Manchester City are demanding €30 million. Despite reaching a verbal agreement with Cherki, the transfer is currently on hold.
