The German team was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the European Championship held in their home country, and Müller also announced his retirement from the national team after the match, which means he will devote all his energy in the late stage of his career to Bayern’s matches. Müller said: “Last season was the first time since 2012 that we didn’t win any titles. Now we have a new coach in the team and new players have joined. Everything is testing our ability to cope. The entire Bayern team will travel to Korea on July 31st to start their pre-season Asian tour. Kompany’s first official match with Bayern will be the German Cup match against Ulm on August 16th. Nine days later, the new Bundesliga season will kick off, and Bayern’s first opponent will be Wolfsburg.
