August 3 – According to Sky Germany, Borussia Dortmund and West Ham United are in talks over a transfer for Niclas Füllkrug.
In the past few hours, Dortmund has responded to West Ham’s offer with a counter-offer, now requesting €30 million (€25 million fixed fee + €5 million in potential bonuses). Previously, West Ham’s bid was €25 million including bonuses.
According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, the deal was ultimately reached with West Ham submitting €26 million + €4 million in variable bonuses. It has been revealed that Füllkrug is set to sign a 3+1-year contract, and will earn €3 million per year.
The 31-year-old Füllkrug, a striker, has previously played for Werder Bremen, Nürnberg, Hannover, and others. Last season, he played for Borussia Dortmund, making 43 appearances, 39 starts, scoring 15 goals and contributing 11 assists, and reached the Champions League final with the team, ultimately losing out on the title. His current market value is €15 million.
