Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen have officially announced that striker Sardar Azmoun has left the club to join UAE Pro League side Dubai Club.
The 29-year-old Iranian forward joined Leverkusen in the winter of 2022 from Russian giants Zenit St. Petersburg. He made 44 appearances for the club, scoring 5 goals and providing 5 assists. Last season, Azmoun was loaned to Serie A side Roma, but his performances were underwhelming and the club did not choose to buy him at the end of the season.
It is understood that the transfer fee for Azmoun is €5 million. As an Iranian international, he will also be playing in the Asian league for the first time in his career.
