August 3 – According to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, Dortmund defender Nico Schlotterbeck spoke about his future and the potential departure of striker Niclas Füllkrug in an interview today.
Schlotterbeck said, “At some point, I might want to go abroad, but I’ve been here for two years now and have formed a strong connection with Dortmund. I’m really happy to be here for a third season, maybe even a fourth and fifth.”
When asked about teammate Füllkrug’s potential departure, the 24-year-old defender responded, “I’d be happy if he stayed because then we would have three top strikers. But that’s not my area, the club needs to solve that.”
