Bayern Munich are currently training in South Korea and will play a friendly match against Tottenham Hotspur on August 3rd at 7 PM. In the pre-match press conference, Kim Min-jae stated that he is not considering leaving Bayern, and he is looking forward to facing Son Heung-min. He also urged Korean fans to pay attention to other Bayern stars, not just him.
Kim Min-jae said, “I’m so excited to bring my teammates to my homeland. This is the first time I’m back home for a pre-season tour. It feels special, and I’m very much looking forward to tomorrow’s match. I’ve been trying to show my teammates Korean culture, taking them to great restaurants in Seoul, and sharing everything about Korea. This is to express my gratitude to the whole team. Everyone is enjoying it. Who is enjoying it the most? I think it’s Kimmich!”
Regarding the friendly match and facing Son Heung-min, Kim Min-jae said, “I’ve only faced him in (national team) training. He is a top player, but Tottenham has many other great players, and we need to be careful. I hope we’ll be the victors when we leave the pitch. I’m very much looking forward to my first match against Son Heung-min!”
In Seoul, Kim Min-jae has received overwhelming support from Korean fans. He said, “I don’t like being the center of attention… Fans shouldn’t just focus on me. We have a strong squad with Neuer, Muller, Musiala, and others. I hope they get more attention than me. Thomas (Muller) is a legend, not just a Bayern legend but a German legend. He always tries to help his teammates and make them feel comfortable. You always love having a legend like him by your side.”
When asked whether he would consider leaving Bayern this summer, Kim Min-jae said, “I’ve never considered that. I want to work hard, give everything for Bayern, and help the club!”
