According to Sky Germany, Leverkusen sporting director Simon Rolfes has categorically denied that Florian Wirtz will join Bayern Munich.
After the Supercup, Rolfes said: “Florian is focused on Bayer, he is an integral part of the team, and he will definitely stay with us. There is nothing at the moment that makes me believe he will leave, he is a Bayer player this season.”
Rumors of a move to Bayern Munich have been circulating, but Wirtz himself appears unaffected. He came on as a substitute and played brilliantly, helping his side lift the DFL Supercup.
