On June 19, RB Leipzig announced that they have extended the contract of head coach Marco Rose until 2026.
Rose, 47, retired from playing in 2011 and has coached teams such as Red Bull Salzburg, Borussia Mönchengladbach and Borussia Dortmund. He led Red Bull Salzburg to two Austrian Bundesliga titles and one Austrian Cup title.
In September 2022, Rose took over the reins of Leipzig’s first team. He has managed the club in 86 matches, with a record of 53 wins, 14 draws and 19 losses. He won the German Cup with Leipzig in the 2022-23 season.
