On July 8, Bayern Munich Football Club announced that Leroy Sane had undergone successful groin surgery in Munich earlier today. According to the club, he is expected to rejoin the team for pre-season training by the end of July.
It was reported that the groin pain had been persistent for several weeks, leading Sane to ultimately opt for a minor surgical procedure.
During the recent European Championships, Sane featured in all five of Germany’s matches but logged a total of only 207 minutes. He did not directly contribute to any goals.
