Lucas is a former professional player with Argentinian and Italian citizenship. After retiring, he transitioned to coaching and has extensive experience coaching professional football teams. Before joining Shenzhen New Pengcheng, Lucas served as the head coach of Montevideo City Torque, a club under City Football Group in Uruguay.
