Canada coach: US team’s early exit due to poor tactical discipline

The United States, hosts of this Copa America, failed to reach the knockout stages after finishing third in their group with a 1-2 record. In an interview, Jesse Marsch, coach of the Canadian team, said that the US team’s main reason for elimination was poor tactical discipline.

Jesse Marsch said: “I would say I am only concerned about Canada’s performance in this tournament, but I do actually follow the US team’s games, as it’s always been a habit of mine. Like the fans, I am also sad to see the US team eliminated.”

“I am disappointed with the US team’s performance, the team’s tactical discipline is poor. They have a lot of room for improvement in many areas, you know we have always trusted these national team players.”

“I am not an insider of this US team, so I can’t point fingers, but it is certain that the team’s performance is far from what the outside world expected.”
