On July 3rd at 9:00 AM, Brazil will face Colombia in the third round of Group D of the Copa America. In a pre-match interview, Brazil midfielder Guimaraes said that Vinicius and Rodrigo are their Ronaldo and Ronaldinho, and that the team must beat Colombia no matter what. 
Regarding the team’s connection with the fans, Guimaraes said: “When you wear the national team shirt, there’s always pressure to win. Because we haven’t won the World Cup in so many years, it puts extra pressure on the players. We want to be closer to the fans. It’s difficult, but we’ll fight for them.”
“When I was a kid, I loved Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, and Kaka. Now, we want to recapture that feeling with Vinicius, Rodrigo, and others. We also want to make our names in history. The team doesn’t want to be on the opposite side of the fans. We want everyone to fight together.”
Regarding Brazil’s current form, Guimaraes admitted: “The team needs to make some changes because the results sometimes aren’t objective. In the match against Costa Rica, we had 20 shots, and even though we won, there are always areas to improve. We’re now facing a team with better players, and it will be a tough match.”
Regarding tomorrow’s opponent, Colombia, Guimaraes said: “Honestly, I’m not too worried about how they’ll prepare because we have to win no matter what. They have players who can decide the match, like James Rodriguez and Diaz. It will be a big test for us, and we just want to get through the match first. We’ve watched some of Colombia’s games, and their players are difficult to mark. We especially need to avoid fouls in the penalty box.”
