Beveren, a team in the Belgian Second Division, have officially announced the signing of 18-year-old Toya Doki on loan from Roasso Kumamoto for a season. The loan deal will include an option for a further extension with Roasso Kumamoto.
Doki showcased his footballing talent from a young age. In December 2022, at the age of 16, he signed with Roasso Kumamoto’s youth team, becoming the youngest Japanese professional player. At the time, he was in his first year of high school.
Now in his third year of high school, he will join Beveren and embark on his overseas career. Previously, he represented the Japanese U17 team in the U17 Asian Cup and impressed with his performances.
Doki expressed his determination: “I will do my best to score many goals and perform well in Belgium. I hope to convey this to the fans in Kumamoto. I will give it my all, so please support me.”
