J2 League club Chiba City Football Club officially announced that the team has signed Gamba Osaka midfielder Naoki Sugayama on loan until the end of the season.
The 25-year-old Sugayama is a product of the Kumamoto Deep Reds youth academy. He was loaned to Montedio Yamagata by Gamba Osaka this season, making 17 appearances and scoring one goal for the team.
Due to the limited opportunities Sugayama has had at Montedio Yamagata, Gamba Osaka decided to terminate his loan contract early and re-loan him to Chiba City.
