According to Japanese media reports, Kumada Naoki will end his loan spell and return to FC Tokyo after failing to secure enough playing time at KRC Genk.
In January this year, Kumada Naoki joined KRC Genk on loan and played for Genk B in the Belgian Second Division. Currently, Kumada Naoki has only made 9 appearances for Genk B, scoring 1 goal. Due to limited playing time abroad, Kumada Naoki, who was originally on loan for a year, has decided to end his loan early and return to FC Tokyo.
Kumada Naoki is 20 years old and was the top scorer at last year’s AFC U-20 Asian Cup with 5 goals. After being promoted to FC Tokyo’s first team in 2022, Kumada Naoki has only scored 2 goals for the club.
