On July 13, Yamaguchi Refa officially announced that foreign player Sleivio was injured and returned to Brazil for treatment.
The announcement is as follows:
Sleivio suffered an injury on Saturday, June 29th, in the J2 League’s 22nd round away game against Mito Hollyhock and will temporarily return to Brazil for surgery and rehabilitation.
Sleivio suffered a right anterior cruciate ligament rupture, right medial collateral ligament injury, and a right lateral meniscus tear. He is expected to be sidelined for eight months and will miss the rest of the season.
Sleivio, 30, has made 11 appearances for Yamaguchi Refa this season, but only started three times.
