On July 9, Bristol City officially announced the signing of Machida Zelvia striker Yuta Hirakawa.
Hirakawa, 23, is a graduate of Yamanashi Gakuin University and joined Machida Zelvia in 2021, winning the J2 League title with the team in the 2023 season. This season, Hirakawa has made 19 appearances for Machida Zelvia, scoring 2 goals and providing 6 assists. Hirakawa has also been selected for the Japan Olympic team’s roster for the Paris Olympics.
