Official: Yuma Soma returns to Nagoya Grampus after loan spell

On July 11, Nagoya Grampus officially announced that Yuma Soma will be returning to the team after his loan spell ended.

Soma, 27, is a graduate of Waseda University and has previously played for Nagoya Grampus and Kashima Antlers. In January 2023, Soma joined Kashiwa Reysol on loan. In a season and a half with Kashiwa, he made 54 appearances, scoring 7 goals and providing 5 assists.

As Kashiwa Reysol were unable to purchase Soma, he decided to return to Nagoya Grampus this summer. In his previous 160 appearances for Nagoya, Soma scored 13 goals and provided 17 assists. At the international level, Soma has played 14 times for Japan, scoring 5 goals and providing 4 assists.
