On July 10th, in the 22nd round of the K League 1, Pohang Steelers hosted Gangwon FC.
In the 6th minute, Gangwon FC earned a free kick from the edge of the opponent’s penalty box. Kim Kang-guk stepped up and curled a shot with his right foot, the ball hitting the wall and flying slightly over the crossbar for a goal kick.
In the 7th minute, Lee Ki-hyeok delivered a corner kick from the right side. Lee Yu-hyeon charged towards the goal and attempted a diving header, which struck the crossbar and bounced out.
In the 13th minute, Lee Ki-hyeok sent another corner kick from the right side. Lee Yu-hyeon jumped in the middle of the box, his header towards goal was cleared by Han Zan-hee.
In the 25th minute, Gangwon FC launched a counter-attack. Lee Yu-hyeon received a layoff from a teammate outside the box and took a shot with his left foot, but Hwang In-jae caught the ball in front of the goal.
In the 40th minute, Pohang Steelers earned a free kick from the left side of the opponent’s box. Shin Kwang-hoon took the free kick, sending a powerful shot that Lee Kwang-yeon blocked with both fists, having been caught slightly offside.
Both teams were tied 0-0 at halftime.
