On July 24, Suwon FC announced that Lee Seung-woo will officially leave the team to join Jeonbuk Hyundai, and the club will boldly rebuild with young players.
Lee Seung-woo trained at La Masia from 2011 to 2017, and played for Verona, Sint-Truiden, and Portimonense. He joined Suwon FC on a free transfer in January 2022.
Since joining the club, Lee Seung-woo has made 89 appearances for Suwon FC, scoring 34 goals and providing 8 assists.
Suwon FC said that the end of their collaboration was a result of mutual agreement in a friendly atmosphere. Lee Seung-woo hopes to take on new challenges in a new environment, and the club wishes him all the best in the future.
After 24 rounds in the K League this season, Suwon FC currently sits at 5th place with 41 points, 3 points behind the leaders Pohang Steelers.
