According to South Korean media outlet Donga Ilbo, Park Ji-sung is set to resign as Jeonbuk Hyundai’s technical director.
Park Ji-sung retired in 2014 and became an advisor to Jeonbuk Hyundai in January 2021, before being promoted to technical director a year and a half later.
However, Park Ji-sung’s tenure as technical director has not yielded the desired results for the club. Jeonbuk Hyundai finished second in the 2022 season after losing to Ulsan Hyundai, and they fell to fourth place in the 2023 season. After 24 rounds this season, they are currently in third from bottom with only 23 points.
