On August 1st, Incheon United announced that Choi Young-keun, who previously served as assistant coach, will return to the club as the new head coach.
Choi Young-keun, 52, retired from playing in 2000. He then managed Changwon FC in lower leagues before serving as assistant coach at Jeju United from December 2018 to the end of 2019. In August 2020, Choi Young-keun joined the Incheon United coaching staff and left at the end of 2022.
Incheon United has struggled this season in the K League, recording a record of just 5 wins, 10 draws, and 10 losses in the first 25 rounds, currently ranking 9th in the league with 25 points.
