On July 25th, Real Sociedad president Jokin Aperribay denied rumors reported by Japanese media that Takefusa Kubo was set to join Liverpool.
Earlier reports from Japanese media claimed that the Japanese winger, currently playing for Real Sociedad, was close to joining Liverpool for a transfer fee of €65 million. However, Real Sociedad’s president has denied these claims.
He stated: “We have not held any talks with any clubs. Anything can happen in the transfer market, but Kubo is very happy at Real Sociedad and he will continue to stay here.”
