Benfica Sporting Director: Negotiating with Atlético for Félix’s Return

Félix was loaned to Barcelona last season by Atlético Madrid, but the Catalans didn’t opt to buy him at the end of the season. He’s clearly not in Atlético’s plans for the upcoming season, and his next destination could very well be his former club Benfica.

Benfica Sporting Director: Negotiating with Atlético for Félix’s Return

In a recent interview with Spanish media outlet Relevo, Benfica Sporting Director Rui Costa admitted that the club is in talks with Atlético regarding Félix’s return. Rui Costa stated: “(Signing Félix) Negotiations are ongoing, but these matters should not be discussed publicly. The team wants good players, and if we can get players who know Portuguese football, even better. Many names have been mentioned on the club’s transfer list, but for now, it’s all speculation.”

Atlético has previously set a price tag of €80 million for Félix, but considering his current market value, they may be willing to lower their asking price if Benfica are willing to bring him back.
