August 3, according to renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano, Atletico Madrid have signed Villarreal striker Alexander Sorloth.
Romano wrote: “Alexander Sorloth just arrived in Madrid as a new Atletico player, he will undergo medical tests today! Sorloth and his agent Morten Wivestad arrived in Madrid today after agreeing personal terms. Next step is the signing. Here we go!”
The 28-year-old Sorloth made 41 appearances (34 starts) for Villarreal last season, scoring 26 goals and providing 6 assists. The Norwegian currently has a market value of €25 million.
