August 6, La Liga side Real Betis announced two transfer news in a row. The first is that Swiss left-back Ricardo Rodríguez joined the team on a free transfer. The second is that the team’s left-back returned to join Argentine side River Plate.
Real Betis officially announced the signing of 31-year-old Swiss left-back Ricardo Rodríguez. The player has passed his medical and will sign with the team until 2026.
The 31-year-old is a product of the Zürich youth academy and has previously played for Wolfsburg, AC Milan, PSV Eindhoven, and Torino. He left Torino on a free transfer this summer. His current market value is €3.5 million.
33-year-old Pezzella is a product of River Plate’s youth academy. He left River Plate in 2015 to join Real Betis. During his nine years with the club, he has made 179 appearances for Real Betis, scoring six goals and providing one assist. River Plate also confirmed Pezzella’s return and he will sign with the team until 2027.
