According to Spanish newspaper Marca, some La Liga clubs are facing registration issues ahead of the new season, with Betis and Getafe particularly affected. La Liga’s strict financial fair play regulations require clubs to operate within a salary cap, leading to some teams struggling to register all their players before the start of the season.

The latest figures show the number of players registered by each team:

Athletic Club: 23 players

Atlético Madrid: 22 players

Osasuna: 18 players

Leganés: 16 players

Alavés: 11 players

Barcelona: 16 players

Getafe: 11 players

Girona: 22 players

Rayo Vallecano: 19 players

Celta Vigo: 22 players

Espanyol: 18 players

Mallorca: 21 players

Real Madrid: 22 players

Betis: 10 players

Real Sociedad: 24 players

Valladolid: 13 players

Sevilla: 20 players

Las Palmas: 23 players

Valencia: 23 players

Villarreal: 19 players

Betis currently have only 10 players registered, while Alavés and Getafe have just 11. Valladolid and Leganés have 13 and 16 players registered respectively, and these teams are working to resolve the registration issues before the start of the season.

Barcelona have also only registered 16 players, with several key players including Olmo, Fati, Eric Garcia, and Iñigo Martínez yet to be registered. Atlético Madrid’s João Félix is also in a similar situation. Osasuna’s new signing Bryan Zaragoza also failed to be registered on time.

Leganés’ Dimitrievski and Óscar Rodríguez, Alavés’ Luka Romero and Manu Sánchez, could miss the opening game due to registration issues. Getafe’s new signings Carles Pérez and Peter face similar difficulties. Betis’ situation is more critical, with key players like Isco, Ricardo Rodríguez, Bartra, Diego Llorente, and Marc Roca still unregistered.

In response to this situation, the affected clubs are actively adjusting their strategies in an attempt to meet the financial requirements and successfully register their players before the start of the season, in order to field a complete squad and face the challenges of the new season.
