On August 22, Spanish media outlet Sport reported that Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal is planning to sign Clément Lenglet, but the player only wants to join Atlético Madrid.
Al-Hilal, a club from the Saudi Pro League, already boasts several French stars, including: Diaby, Benzema, Aouar and Kanté. Now, they have set their sights on French center-back Lenglet, believing he can fit into their defensive system.
However, the Barcelona center-back only wants to join Atlético Madrid, ruling out all other options. After loan spells at Tottenham and Aston Villa, Lenglet doesn’t want to be away from the top five European leagues, and Atlético is his current sole desire.
