August 15 – According to Spanish outlet AS, Fermín and Pedri are expected to return in LaLiga Round 2, providing midfield reinforcements for Barça.
Fermín previously participated in the European Championship with the Spain national team, followed by the Paris Olympics with the Spanish Olympic team, winning both tournaments. He then entered a short break and will miss the opening round against Valencia.
Pedri sustained a grade II medial collateral ligament injury in the European Championship final, and has been out for 40 days. He has resumed partial training and is expected to miss the first round. He could return along with Fermín in Round 2 against Athletic Bilbao.
Araujo, De Jong, Fati, and Gavi will remain sidelined. Araujo will be out for 4 months, De Jong’s ankle issue persists without a defined return date, Ansu Fati is sidelined due to plantar fasciitis, and Gavi is not expected to return until late October or early November.
