On August 12th, FC Barcelona announced the departure of Roberto. Teammate Marc-André ter Stegen bid farewell to Roberto on social media.
Ter Stegen wrote: “Sergi, you were here when I arrived at the club, we grew up together, became footballers, friends, and both became fathers. You’ll forever be in Barça’s history, you are a legend of the club. I’ll miss you in the dressing room, but I’m sure we’ll see each other many times. Good luck in your new chapter, all the best to you and your family.”
