Spanish outlet Gol reports that, after failing to sign Athletic Bilbao player Nico Williams, Barcelona is now looking to sign Marcus Rashford from Manchester United.
Williams had a great season and shone at the European Championship, helping the team win the title, attracting the attention of several clubs. However, he ultimately opted to renew his contract with Athletic Bilbao and stay at the club. Gol says that Xavi has proposed to the club owner to sign Rashford to fill what he believes is a gap on the left flank.
Rashford’s contract with Manchester United runs until 2028. He is said to be highly favored by Xavi, and Paris Saint-Germain was also interested in the former England international, but Manchester United still seems to want to keep him.
