According to reports, Atletico Madrid will turn their attention to Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat if they fail to sign Conor Gallagher.
Gallagher is currently in London awaiting an agreement between Atletico and Chelsea over Felix’s move, which would pave the way for his transfer to Atletico. In the meantime, some agents have recommended other midfield options to Atletico. According to French media outlet Footmercato, one of them is Amrabat. In fact, Amrabat himself expressed interest in joining Atletico last year, and Atletico attempted to sign him during the January transfer window, but the deal fell through. Ultimately, he joined Manchester United on loan from Fiorentina for €9 million.
Amrabat is under contract with Fiorentina for another year, so his transfer fee would not be too high. If they are unable to sign Gallagher, Amrabat would be a good option for Atletico.
