On August 18, Atlético Madrid officially announced that striker Carlos Martín has joined Alavés on loan for one season.
Carlos Martín, 22, came through the Atlético Madrid youth system and made his debut for the Atlético Madrid first team in 2021. He has made five appearances for the Atlético Madrid first team in official matches so far.
Last season, Martín joined Segunda División side Mirandés on loan, and went on to make 33 appearances in the 23/24 Segunda División season, scoring 15 goals. Atlético Madrid have already renewed Carlos Martín’s contract until 2029, and he will now leave the club again on loan to gain experience.
