Spanish Media: Barcelona Wants Chiesa for €10 Million, Juventus Holding Out for €15 Million

According to Sport, Barcelona is actively seeking to reinforce their left-wing attack and Italian international Federico Chiesa has emerged as their primary target. The 26-year-old winger is favored for his exceptional technical skills, suitability to Barcelona’s tactical approach, and relatively affordable price tag. In a departure from previous transfer maneuvers, Barcelona are ready to pay a transfer fee outright.

Italian journalist Mirko Di Natale reports that Barcelona is set to present a formal offer to Juventus for €10 million. However, Juventus remains steadfast in their €15 million valuation, unwilling to let Chiesa go easily, despite his contract expiring in a year.

Chiesa himself is open to joining Barcelona, intrigued by the city and the club’s prospects. He is looking for a contract of at least three years, seeking stability and security with his new club.

Barcelona is reportedly willing to offer Chiesa a €6 million annual salary. To secure the deal, Barcelona needs to generate funds through player sales. Nevertheless, considering Barcelona’s current financial struggles, Chiesa has also noted interest from the Premier League.

Juventus aims to sell Chiesa this summer to generate revenue, fearing they could lose him for free to rivals Inter Milan if he waits until his contract expires. To avoid this outcome, Juventus is open to a relatively lower price instead of insisting on a higher one.
