Villarreal have officially announced the signing of 21-year-old Swiss striker Thierno Barry from FC Basel.
The two parties have signed a five-year contract, and Barry will join the team for training this Thursday. According to the Yellow Submarine’s official website, Barry is a versatile striker who combines speed and power, and is also very adaptable in terms of position. He can play on both wings, and is known for his cuts in from the right flank.
Last season he scored 20 goals and provided 5 assists in 41 games for Basel, and he has continued his hot form this season, scoring 5 goals in the first three rounds of the league.
