On August 24, former Barça and Manchester City goalkeeper Claudio Bravo gave an interview to Sport, in which he spoke about the differences between the two teams.
Bravo played for Barça between 2014 and 2017 before joining Manchester City, where he stayed until 2020. When asked about the difference between Barça and City, Bravo was quite blunt.
Bravo: “I always say that Barça are tight like a small team. Yes, you would say that Barça are a big club, Barça are very well known, the stadium is always full, but that’s just an appearance.”
“Their internal structure is very small, you always see the same faces, like two or three staff members, three or four guards and the same old cook, you hardly ever see anyone else.”
When talking about Manchester City, Bravo sang their praises.
Bravo: “When you arrive at City, you discover that it’s completely different, they have so many resources: there’s someone in charge of the swimming pool, someone in charge of the dressing room, someone in charge of the medical area, someone in charge of the gym…”
“City never skimp on their resources, they want their players to get the best development possible.”
