July 2 Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbahçe today announced the signing of Turkish defender Cengiz Ünder from Atlético Madrid on a deal until 2027.
The 28-year-old defender spent the second half of last season on loan at Fenerbahçe, a Turkish powerhouse. In 2023, he moved from Leicester City to Atlético Madrid, where he only made 9 appearances for the Rojiblancos.
The Turkish international made 132 appearances for Leicester City and missed this summer’s European Championship due to injury.
Turkey will face Austria in the Round of 16 on July 3 at 3:00 AM.
