On June 24, French media outlet L’Équipe reported that more than one Saudi consortium is willing to buy Monaco.
It is known that Monaco owner Dmitry Rybolovlev’s desire to sell the club is becoming increasingly strong. He has received numerous offers in recent months.
Currently, there are seven potential buyers willing to take over Monaco, including Saudi consortiums. Interestingly, the Saudi side wants to appoint current Paris Saint-Germain director Luis Campos as Monaco’s new chairman.
It is worth noting that Campos briefly served as Monaco’s director from 2013 to 2016. His contract with Paris expires in 2025. The Parisians want to renew his contract, but Campos seems to be looking for a higher position. When asked about this by L’Équipe reporters, Campos declined to comment.
