According to renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano, João Neves and Renato Sanches will swap clubs, with the transfer to be completed within days.
Romano wrote on social media: “Not only is the transfer of João Neves to Paris Saint-Germain set to be completed within days, but Benfica are also close to signing Sanches, with the player’s agent also involved in the transfer of Neves.”
26-year-old Sanches joined Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2022, but was loaned out to Roma for the 23/24 season. Limited by injuries and lack of form, Sanches only made 12 appearances for Roma last season, scoring just one goal.
