July 25th, Ligue 1 club Marseille have announced the signing of Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Højbjerg on loan, with the Dane set to wear the number 23 jersey for the season.
Marseille have confirmed that Højbjerg joins on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.
Højbjerg departs after spending eight years in the Premier League. He was a near ever-present starter in Tottenham’s side two seasons ago, but his game time has become more limited since then. He made 36 appearances in the Premier League last season but mostly came off the bench.
