According to Marseille local media La Provence, Marseille’s new signing Mason Greenwood will not travel to England with the team for the friendly match against Sunderland.
Marseille will play a friendly match against Sunderland at the newly refurbished Stadium of Light this Saturday, however, the newly signed Mason Greenwood from Manchester United is absent. The official reason given is that Greenwood is injured and to avoid aggravating the injury, Marseille decided not to risk it and let the player recover.
However, several French media outlets believe that Greenwood is actually physically fine and did not travel to England to avoid trouble. Greenwood has been boycotted by fans of various teams due to the domestic violence incident previously.
