August 6, Portuguese Primeira Liga side Benfica officially announced that Paris Saint-Germain’s Portuguese midfielder Renato Sanches has joined the club on loan for one year.
Benfica’s official statement reads:
The 26-year-old midfielder Renato Sanches, who previously played for Benfica, returns to the club on loan from Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain, once again wearing the No. 85 shirt for Benfica and bolstering the team’s depth for the 2024/25 season. The loan deal includes an option to buy.
According to renowned transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, the loan deal includes a buy-out clause of around €11 million.
