Sky Germany: Paris Saint-Germain in talks to sign Eintracht Frankfurt defender Willian Pacho

According to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain are in talks to sign Eintracht Frankfurt defender Willian Pacho.

Plettenberg reports: “PSG are very interested in Willian Pacho and negotiations have started. Eintracht Frankfurt have been informed that PSG want to sign him. The 22-year-old Frankfurt defender is also open to a transfer”.

The 22-year-old Willian Pacho is an Ecuadorian international. In January 2022, he moved from the Ecuadorian league to Antwerp in Belgium, where he helped the team win the Belgian league and Belgian Cup. In July 2023, he moved from the Belgian league to Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga for a fee of €9 million, signing a contract with the club until June 2028.

Last season at Frankfurt, Pacho made 33 Bundesliga appearances, 8 Europa Conference League appearances (and qualifying matches) and 3 German Cup appearances, totalling 3939 minutes played with 2 assists. Pacho is also an Ecuadorian international, having played 15 times for the South American national team, and was part of the 2022 Qatar World Cup squad (although he did not make an appearance).

Pacho is 1.87m tall and plays as a central defender, although he can also play as a full-back. He is currently valued at €35 million on Transfermarkt.
