According to French media outlet GFFN, Juventus midfielder Manuel Locatelli is now Marseille’s top target, with newly appointed Marseille manager Roberto De Zerbi hoping to bring his former player to France for a reunion.
Locatelli played for Sassuolo from 2018-2021, with De Zerbi as manager, and the two had a very enjoyable working relationship. With De Zerbi now in charge at Marseille this summer, he is also hoping to make some moves in the transfer market to help the team return to the Ligue 1 title race next season.
Locatelli himself is also open to leaving Juventus this summer, and Juventus are hoping to sell some players to help them sign new arrivals such as Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz.
The two clubs have already started preliminary talks about a possible transfer for Locatelli, with a potential loan deal being discussed.
