Benfica president Rui Costa said on Saturday that Ángel Di María will continue playing for the club next season.
“Di María will stay at Benfica, just like a year ago. Di María played in the World Cup and then signed a contract, now the same thing is happening. Di María is still a Benfica player,” said Rui Costa.
Di María joined Benfica on a free transfer in the summer of 2023. He made 48 appearances for the Portuguese side last season, scoring 17 goals and providing 13 assists. This summer, Di María helped Argentina win the Copa América once again.
