Hot Debate: UZI is Like the Esports Version of Neymar – No Championships Yet Still Praised by Fans and Media

Recently, a tweet from a foreign media outlet, Express, comparing football stars to esports players sparked a heated discussion in China. Many netizens disagreed with the comparison, arguing that comparing UZI to the esports version of Cristiano Ronaldo was not accurate, not only in terms of individual achievements and team championships, but also in terms of the players’ personalities.

Many netizens even proposed a bold hypothesis: is UZI the esports version of Neymar? They provided the following multi-faceted arguments:

1. Both UZI and Neymar are incredibly talented, skilled, and their highlights are very popular, but they often lack practicality. They cannot match the likes of Deft, JKL, and Viper in the LoL scene, just as the latter cannot compete with Lewandowski and Benzema, the (almost) Ballon d’Or winners.

2. UZI excels in lane, and Neymar is strong in one-on-one situations. However, both have limited ability to adapt their styles for the team.

3. UZI is vulnerable to strong ganks and level 2 invades, while Neymar is easily fouled. Both have clear weaknesses in the competitive scene that can be exploited.

4. They both receive massive praise from the media and fans. One is crowned “greater than Bang with one championship, greater than Faker with many championships”, and the other “greater than Ronaldo with zero Ballon d’Ors, greater than Messi with one Ballon d’Or”.

5. They both easily lose their cool when things are not going their way.

6. Both UZI and Neymar need the entire team to focus resources on them. UZI cannot be left alone and takes three lanes, while Neymar needs the ball and is somewhat clingy with it.

7. UZI has not won the World Championship in his career, but at least has a national team championship. Neymar has a Champions League title and an Olympic gold medal with the national team, but he has never won the Ballon d’Or and only reached the quarterfinals twice and the semifinals once in the World Cup. Both have underperformed compared to expectations.
